Hi there all seven builders!
im new to the kit car building game, and have just started my up hill struggle to build my own!
im basing it on a good old Sierra 1.8 cvh i have purchased and have already come into my first snag the donor i have purchased is a 92 (K) Reg (WRONG
MOVE) with single point injection and a coil pack for electronic ignition, naturally i'll be throwing the single point straight in the bin and
fitting twin 40's BUT how do i then get round fitting the ignition? can i still use the coil pack? will the ECU still run the engine?
ANY help would be very much appreciated................ Kirk

Budget option would be the esc ecu from say a fiesta/escort with the 1.3 ohv engine of the same age.
Next step up would be an ecu that you can program.
Thank you for your answer, is there any specific part number i should look for? what does ESC stand for?
is it just a straight plug n play

You may need to adjust the loom a little to fit.
No part numbers, this is what it looks like with the Full loom. Power and earth is it.
How it's wired.
You could also use the eec-iv from the single point injection
Great......
this was putting me off using this particular engine! as converting the engine to a distributor is quite an operation.
Would i still need to use part/all of the existing loom? i was planning on keeping the build as minimal and tidy as possible! ie no wipers/no
heater/no fuel gauge ECT ECT
i was contemplating making it road legal, but have decided it will be far more convenient to have it road legal...
i hope i dont sound thick but this is a little out of my era being im only just 30.
