Talon Motorsport - 9/2/14 at 06:17 PM

Does any body have a clear and readable pin out for a Ford EEC V that is used with the 2.5 V6 duratec's in the Mondeo and Cougar please? I can find pinouts for the 4 pots, mustangs and explorers etc but not one for the above..

The best way I find is to trace back the loom and fill in the blanks with auto data. but I have a fare idea as ive done so many four pots.

In a rush ?

I've torn the ligaments in my wrist and I still have another loom to do for a patient builder. If You haven't sorted it by next month then give me a shout as ive thought of doing one for the Midlana project I am yet to start.

I have removed all the key fob and alarm system the engine loom is complete and plugged into the ECU and the wires running from the ECU to the relays, what I can't work out is if there is 1-2 12v input wires that turns on the ECU.

There are three. One is a permanent live (orange or red depending on year) and there are two switched lives (green/yellow).

Immobilizer, Big black box with hundreds of wires ? You don't need it, it just switches earths. This is the Active anti theft system. you do need the key and key reader that make up the Passive Anti theft System.

I don't bother with the fuse box. I use a 6 way blade type box and two relays but only one of them is essential.

If you have a look at my four pot post it will point you in the right direction. you will have an extra two injectors and an extra coil. You may also have a dual stage inlet controller but it shows the standard colours and there functions.

My St project shows how I go about the loom and gives an idea of what is left of it in the end vids.
