led shift light
beaver34 - 25/4/14 at 09:20 PM

want to add a nice led shift light into the dash

my ecu has an output for it, i like the look of the ones that you get on new bikes with afew led's in

had a quick look on ebay but that seems a minefield if you out led bulb into it!

any ideas on where to source one?

ta

I use the Ecliptec shift-i

https://ecliptech.com.au/

It's very good but not cheap, around £100

I had one of those was great

i do have a race tehonolgy dash 2 in the car, but its in the centre and the engine revs so fast and stuff happens so quick i dont always see it hence the want for a single shift light behind the wheel

Hi Sorry if i'm hijacking but could you help me with the wiring, it as white/green/red wires, do you need to connect them all.?

many thanks

Ben_Copeland - 28/4/14 at 02:24 PM

I can check when I get home. But you've got 12v and 2 negative switches. So the Ecu grounds one wire (green light), then the second wire(red light)

daveb666 - 28/4/14 at 02:37 PM

As Ben says, my ECU only has one shift-light output so I have connected both the negative wires together. This lights the green and red LEDS together.

Yeh my ECU only as the 1 wire for shift light so i'll give that a try, many thanks
