Hi, Just a quick question for all you knowledgeable peeps, I am bidding on a ESC ignition unit and loom the seller says it would run a Zetec with bike carbs but I thought it should be a EDIS and I right or am I wasting my money HELP!!!!!!!

Esc will run it better than just edis
Esc will advance ign as reqd as it has a base map , edis will just sit at 10 degrees- limp mode
Its a cheap way to get a zetec up and running but esc was for escort and fiesta cvh so was never intended for a zetec

I've played with no end of them.

Only any good if your on a tight budget as the ignition curve is for an 8v engine and the Rev limit is low.
