i am doing a techy case studie in school on a fuel sender and gauge can anyone give me and info on them because i have gotten stuck for info please

sorry i should have said my dads got one so i know that much but the rest is unknown to me lol i just need anything to get me started so anyone got anything please give lol its to be in soon but i was helping build the car so i left it.

one bit of useless info, working at nissan a couple of years back fuel senders came up in conversastion, depending on where the car was going they fitted different senders, you will prob notice normaly in the uk the fuel gauge goes down steady at first then plumets over the last 70 miles or so, its all in the head but that is apparantly how we like it, we feel where getting more MPG if it holds a higher reading for longer, for example if you tank holds say £50 of fuel, put £25 in and it will take the gauge to over 1/2, the Japanese prefare it the other way round.

Hope you can make some sense out of that.

thank ya that was grate should get me a nice little pass and thanks to every one else will prob be on asking more but should get me started
