Do off side and near side rear lights (inc. parking lights) have to be run off separate fuses, or will SVA be satisfied by them ‘running’ through a single fuse?

Is there any other ‘major’ reason not to run them through a single fuse?

Don't think its an issue with SVA as long as they work. But IMHO it makes good sense to have them separate as if you blow one circuit, at least you still have one light at the back. If you run from a single fuse you would not have any!!

I use 2 fuses: one for the left rear and left front sidelights, the other for the right rear and front.
As Mike says, it's nice to keep one light showing if a fuse blows, at the front AND the rear!

Same here, I have split my circuits left from right. It is not difficult as your fusebox will most likely be somewhere near the engine bulkhead or just in front of the gearlever so it is very natural to run one cable forwards and another backwards, driven from separate fuses with a common input.
