Ignition coil

Hi All will it make a differance to the working of the ignition coil if it,s horizontal on a pinto engine thanks

will depend on type..

some you need to mount vertical..//near vertical..

they are often cooled/filled by/with oil...

Coils are mounted in all orientations on production cars.

If you mount it on it side will it's COG be lower?

Mount it facing down so the sparks are aided by gravity

Thanks for the replys it seems I will have to leave the lid on so that the sparks don't escape when I'm not using the car. Jacko
