can any body expain this wiring diagram to a simplton from dudley?
got power and rev counter working but can`t get the F*****G speedo to work. Text

Connect one side of the reed switch to the green wire, the other end to ground.

Should work then...

not unless there is a magnet that comes near the reed switch. the magnet would be fitted on the rotating item, as it goes by, it closes the siwtche that opens once it goes past. The open/close cylkces rpresent the speed of rotation.
