about to fit the r1 fuel pump for the r1 carbs on tehe pinto but had a horror moment thinking they could be 6v...

could any one confirm the correct voltage.? also is a relay necessary or can i just go for a ignition switched live.>?>

Standard R1 fuel pump is 12V.

Isn't the pump fitted into the tank on the bikes ?? the R1 I'm wiring at the moment, has it there so it's a simple caes of extending the original wiring
