Hi All
I'm about to buy a datalogger and would like to use my existing sensors to feed both the ECU and the data logger.
I'm hoping to be able to pick up on –
Tacho (easy),
Water temperature (standard Emerald / Ford fitting?) ,
Oil pressure / temperature (Spa sensors),
Gearbox output speed (pulse from sensor when I get it working)
Rear wheel speed (simple proximity sensors) to measure wheel spin.
I’ve been told that I can use one sensor for both purposes but can’t find any guidance (I’ve done a search here). Any electrical / electronic guru’s
out there who can point me in the right direction? The analysis software and the ability to export to Excel will allow me to juggle with sensor data
should I need to.
I’m going for a GPS datalogger so this will give me position, speed, and some accelerometer data.
Regards
Wyn
Not sure, but you might need to install some diodes to protect each circuit.
temp sensors are variable resistance.
as long as the data logger has a very high resistance 100 000ohm- 1000 000 ohm + (100k - 1 M) the data logger will not affect the value being measured
much.
