ii have wired my headlight switch and dip and side work fine tried main beam and nothing
so after a while of tracind wires found wires for pass button linked these (while main beam switch was on) and all seemed well until i turned ignition of and back on then no main bean again
any ideas what i should do

I had a similar problem using a mk2 escort based loom turned out to be a missing earth. Hope this helps

What loom and switches are you using?

all sorted now connected live feed from pass button to my headlight switch (toggle switch) and all's well
