I have a subaru impreza in tank fuel pump and sender . I expected only 4 wire connection two for pump and two for the sender however there is an extra connection that has a resistance of 1K to the return (black wire) of the sender. Anyone got a SUbaru wiring schematic that can tell me what this is?

Just check the manual for the "Classic" shape cars and it only shows 4 connections used of the 6.
