I very stupidly dismantled my wiring loom from the donor escort months ago and now its time to start wiring the car I have absolutely no idea what goes where.

I've tried to follow the haynes escort diagram but for a "Mechanically Minded" engineer, this is most confusing! I don't do squiggly sparky stuff.

Does anyone out there have a simplified wiring diagrams they could email me with? I'm mainly after the stuff to get the engine started! indicators and warm bottoms can wait.

what engine is it? several different layouts. i understand most of the pinto carb sierra stuff, should be similar.

good point that, its a 1300 bog standard xflow.

I've got a basic understanding of it, i.e leads go from the spark plugs to the distributor, then to the coil but from there is a mystery and I have no idea how to incorporate the alternator and starter motor cicuit, and where the battery goes in all this.
