I want an ignition barrel without the sprung return start position, i.e. like on a motorbike. Anyone recommend a good (cheap ) supplier.

Why not just use the bike one. and if you havent got one then they are for buttons at the bike breakers. You also get the resistor built in aswell which is designed as an anti theft device.

i've been quoted silly money for the barrel from a breakers. There is a guy on ebay selling them for a zx6r for £29, does anyone know if this has the same 100ohm resistor in it?

try calling a kawaski dealer/parts store?
