I'm in the process of finalising my loom in the car and im unsure whether i have to have the complete loom sleeved/in conduit, or just the area
in the engine bay? At the moment its all wrapped tidily in tape.
Also where is the best to place to get the sleeving from?
Thanks,
Chris.
I dont like tape very much so I used loom tape (non sticky) then spiro rap stuff and the whole lot in split convolute tubing. I even doubled up on the convolute in some places and it's all over the car, making a nice neat job of it all.
I'm with Coozer on this. I did my data logger loom with loom tape and it looks the dogs. I used heat shrink sleeve at the ends of the loom. AES
are excellent. I've used them for electrical stuff a couple of times. Here's the link;

Also have the same question, what's required for SVA? Is loom tape (PIB selfamalgamating tape) enough? Or does it also need convoluted tubing?
Thanks for the tips. I've ordered some different diameter split convoluted tube and also some self amalgamating tape.
Chris.

Loom tape is not self-amalgamating, it's like normal PVC insulation tape but without any adhesive.
