What sort of price would you expect for a 22yo on a traders policy?
Iv had a couple of quotes of around £1500 which seems rather steep.

Is that a traders insurance that lets you drive anything?/.... I think that sounds pretty good!

I just phoned tradex (spoke to a very rude woman) who said they would not insure me if i was working on just a few cars per year and she said most companies would have the same policy. Do i have any other options to drive other cars (my tintop insurance doesnt cover any other vehicles)

Depends on your insurance wording...

A couple of the smaller companies offer fleet/family insurance... might be worth chatting to the specialists and see what they can offer you?

traders or multi-car policy?

IIRC, traders mean that you can drive cars not owned by you for any length i.e. you buy/sell cars as opposed to owning several cars - multi-car insurance policies exist for that.

For example. I have 3 cars, 2 of whcih are not you run of the mill tin boxes hence none of the above are any use for me.

I need to do some work on my sisters boyfriendscar and need to move it from round the corner of our house to the driveway.

He's taking my sisters car and she's taking the work van. Very confusing and complicated but if they're happy

i dont think youl get the drive any car third party on your policy untill your 25. Mine was removed and they gave i back when i was 25. I think its some cack new law.

As for the Rover. Just drive it round the corner.
