This is daft

Elephant (online company) can't email me my cover note but they could FAX it to me.

Or send it by courier which you would sign for sir... Yeah but I work 9-5 monday to friday...... GRRRR

Sorry for the RANT

can't they text it to you?

SeaBass - 28/10/09 at 06:27 PM

Fax is considered a legal copy by the courts. Email and printing is not unfortunately.

get them to fax it to your work

i was always told fax is the only legal way of sending a signature 'electronically'.. i guess it must still be true.

Just got insurance with be wise and they emailed mine to me
which i then printed out and used to get tax
no problem
(did wonder if post office would have a problem with it but this seems to be how be wise send theres)

It's because an emailed image would be easily doctored by the crooks and would make a better ''fake'' than a doctored fax.

Fax is not always legal. If you happened to have an ancient machine that runs on that shiny paper print roll stuff, then they cannot form a legal document as the paper blackens over time

What about trying efax.co.uk they fax to a special fax number, efax convert to an email and send it to you, free month trial

Cheers
