This is usually a good place to get some answers so here goes:

I have a 1980 chevette that I have been modifying bit by bit. I have decided to use an english rear axle as I have one in the garage complete with quaiffe ATB.

Rather than carry two spare wheels (1 ford pcd for rears / 1 gm pcd for fronts), I wanted to find a solution to using a ford hub on a chevette stub axle. On ebay there are some cortina mk4 and mk5 and Chevette HS alloy hubs forsale which may fit.

My question, does anyone know if HS chevette have the same stubs as late standard chevettes? Is there a way of checking this before buying the products?

Can you not redrill the hubs to the ford pcd ?

I have seen multi fitment wheels that have eight holes to suit both Ford and Vauxhall.

I would buy some undrilled alloy chevette hubs and get them drilled out to 108mm pcd

I'd say get a duel fitting wheel. 8 holes, 4@108pcd and 4@100pcd. They're quite common as after market wheels so you should be able to get from the scrap yard if you don't want to buy new.
