I won !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E-HqlPMQiQ
In my 2nd ever sprint I won my class with a time of 73.82sec. There were 7 cars in my class (Supercharged Exiges, Elise & Caterhams/other kits) and overall I was 3rd fastest (excluding the single seaters with wings & slicks)
Very happy

Well Done Jeff.

Well done that man. I take it you're still excited by it going by the time you posted! What are running in the car then?

jeffw - 30/8/10 at 06:56 AM

I'm up early every morning ....can't sleep much past 6am. But I'm still excited
The spec is

Sylva Phoenix, 2lt Blacktop Zetec, "CNC Heads" Port & Polished Head, big valves, "CNC Heads" hi-lift cams, Jenvey TB & Omex 600. BGH HD Type 9 with Alloy Casings, Quaife ATB in English Axle.

Very impressive drive, although what always impresses me more on all these sprints is how you all know where the hell you're going! I swear I'd need a co-pilot to direct me or I'd end up being very "James May" and getting lost half way

Nice spec. What power are you getting from it?
I bet the Elise drivers were upset and heading for a tuner in the morning

North Weald is probably the worst one we go to in terms of being on the featureless side of featureless, lots of people usually have a few 'wrong route' on the timing sheets.
Quite a nice layout in fact but could do with a few more cones.

That's a good time, is that nice big dip/bump still there on the left hander as you come back up towards the paddock

jeffw - 30/8/10 at 04:21 PM

More bumps than a bumpy thing on a bumpy day.

Car produced 160HP at the wheels while being mapped at ATSpeed. 135 ft lbs at the wheels for peak torque. This was on a new engine so since then we have raised the rev limit to 8K and the engine is run in. The power run was limited to 6.5K.

The two Supercharged and heavily modified Exige owners where muttering somewhat althought they where good sports about it really.

Were you running in A6, if so I suggest the heavily modified Exige guys might consider shutting up or moving to ModProd.

I was wrong about your time, it's not good, it's bloody superb, just been checking a few of our old results, if you were running the same course as normal (and it looks like it) that's a hell of a time, there again 3rd FTD kind of says that anyway.

Class A6 indeed. I was 3rd fastest road going car (996 Cup car & a Evo 8 where slightly faster) plus 5 of the 6 single seaters and the R400 race car. So 9th overall.

1st D12 PT 1550 62.49
2nd D12 Jedi 1000cc 63.21
3rd D12 Jedi 600cc 67.80
4th D12 Jedi 1000cc 68.65
5th C10 R400 71.34
6th D12 Jedi 600cc 71.74
7th A3 996 Cup 72.83
8th A4 Evo8 73.44
9th A6 Phoenix 73.82

My timed runs where 75.85, 74.76 & 73.82 so there is certainly a few more secs to shave off that.
