Does anybody know which parts of the registration certificate we keep and fill out when selling a car to overseas [France]?

Thanks

Isn't there a special bit for exporting a car?

i think its the brown part. you fill out and tear off a part to give to the new owner and post the rest to DLA. i've bought a few cars and exported them to Southern Ireland and i think thats how it was done.

Greg.

You send DVLA the purple bit that says the car has been permanently exported and send the rest to the new owner.

When I sold my TVR to france I kept the log book.. buyer didnt want it... and wrote to the DVLA telling them it had been perminantly exported... they wrote back a few weeks later thanking me for letting them know... simples

there is an export section, you fill out and send to the dvla. give the rest to the new owner as they may need it for import / registration reasons.
