Clearly the vendor of kit car rolling chassis with chain drive diff axle | eBay UK didn't ask anyone that actually knew
the answer the following question.
"When you're building a bike engined car, how do you get the drive from the bike engine to the back axle.
Had they done so, they wouldn't have done this.
There are lots of other things to admire, but I'm sure you'll find those yourselves.

What a numpty, how did he expect the oil to stay in for the bearings?
erm, seems to have sold it once already...
kit car with Triumph 955i engine and chain diff.buggy? | eBay UK
The question I have is..... Where the hell did he expect to put the engine?
Was he planning on running a chain all the way to the front of the car? There certainly isn't any room in front of the axle.
Put the engine transversley in the front, extended chain running through the transmission tunnel - matches the existing engineering !!!

This is "normal" in this side of the world, Sealed bearings and everyday brush of oil...
By the way you all would be shocked by the amount and diversity of contraptions used on our streets/roads.
