Another one of those days! grr

Decided I'd get the rear axle out of the micra today after picking it up.. Thought it'd be easier if I unscrewed the shafts and hubs from the diff to make getting it out easier (I had help loading it in, solo on this end!). Removed one of the shafts from the diff flange..

Went to remove the other, and my T40 bit twists like candy - useless. Great I thought, I'll use my Halfords Advanced/Pro tools - out of anything in the world, surely a driveshaft to diff flange bolt won't cause much trouble!

A bit of pressure - and the bit snaps.

Argh - that's all the T40 bits I own, means a trip to Halfrauds, although it'll mean I can get the T55 bit which ALSO snapped the other day swapped too...

So had to somehow maneouvre the beam with one wishbone out of the micra, take it to the garage, came back to the micra to put flip the seats back and noticed that due to this little rear axle haulage, the beam cut a small hole in the side of my driver's seat!!!

Not that it matters much, but the seats were mint and it's just one of those annoying things that's going to bug me forever now

And after all that, I'm still not sure how I'm supposed to get the flange bolts off if they're that tight!

I know it's not a big deal, but it's bothering me so I decided I'd rant on here

Can't help with the axle but if you have a spare day you could always take the seat off, remove the cover and stitch it back up..
