And here's me still with fond memories of hammering a seat Ibiza 1.9 tdi around the mountains of northern Spain.

Do you ever get the feeling in the UK they are taking the mick with the costs of things.

Where is this from? Somewhere in America I assume?

Nice photo to. did you take the pic?

Charger would not be much fun on the Spanish mountains. they are the size of small boats.

The only thing is that they are not actually fast. had a few as hire cars out in the states. in the us they are considered as pretty run of the mill cars. p.s don't put your foot down on anything that remotely looks like a bend as.the backend on its leaf springs is pretty lively and has a habit of snapping away then catching itself in what ever bizar position it likes usually resulting in a bush.

P.s they do make a nice noise though

I was in Southen California a while ago and had this the silver mustang hire car. Did not cost a lot. The red sliver and blue cars in the other pic were other hire cars you could choose from.

Cheers

Is cheaper than the Ford C-max I hired in Germany for the same number of days

Certainly the not the gutless brand new MG 6 i used 36 quids worth of fuel in to do 115 miles yesterday.

I had it last summer to travel new york to keywest. Have you collected it yet. When we turned up to collect at the airport the chargers and insurances took it from $200 to $800 for 14days.

And I found it soo dissapointing to drive if i am honest

I keep promising myself that the next time work sends me to the US I am going to hire something large and thirsty (car that is, not an american escort agency type ).

Why? Just because I can

Hire cars are always fun because you can drive them without mercy

I've always gone for the cheapest option available on holiday or through work. The best 2 holiday cars we've had were a Corsa and Micra, both one litre apiece (IIRC one of them only had 3 cyl as well). They were so closely matched in lack of grunt they made for great sport in the Portuguese hills. They were surprisingly good off-road too
