What The Hell Is a Morris Griffith???
scootz - 13/1/13 at 01:50 PM

PH Advert Linky

Regostered as a 1967 Morris Griffith with a 1.1 engine.

Appears to be a 1980's / 1990's single-seater with a 2.0 engine!

The smell of fish is strong on this one!!!

Hmm, thing is with a one off or a locost you build yourself you can call it what ever you like.

However that does not excuse using a dead animal to clone into a nice new puppy....

It was a 1975 when advertised for 10k more here

I can't see how a 1967 1.1 litre car can possibly be used as a 'donor' for a 2 litre car that appears to be a factory-build single-seater! The only 'home build' aspect that I can see is the cycle-wings, oversized wheels and a set of lights!

In addition to the poor wiring, welding on the cycle wing brackets and the price!

Looks to me, like a race car that has been 'converted' to be road legal. Anyone checked the registration out yet?

Registered as a 1967 Morris Griffith with a 1.1 engine in Scootz first post would be a clue.

Except that the information in Scootz first post is also on the LHS of the advert, and makes no reference to having done a reg check.

I checked the reg... a 1967 1.1 Morris Griffith!

I don't mind a wee bit of 'creative' paperwork, but this is a complete piss-take! The fact that it's a dealer that's trying to pass it off and he wants NINETEEN feckin grand for it further amazes me!

Ive checked the reg on DVLA and cant find it using Ford or Formula 200 or Morris Griffith!
