I know I have seen a few companies over the years (including on Top Gear) which rebuild classic cars with full modern under-pinning and sell them for
a small fortune!? (or build new cars that look like true classics)
Can anyone think of such a company?

Caterham?
Eagle E Types spring to mind, I think they do Mk2s as well.
Weisman make modern cars that look like new cars, and for porsche there's singer who make some amazing machines.
Morgan
seem to revitalise the same old design for the last 50 years,
Mtek automotive composites are putting a 200mph LS7 powered modern day scimitar gte into production apparently
This is coming soon I'm told with a fabricated chassis using MX5 front and rear sub frames, not quite a classic I know but thought it worth a
mention.

Hmm, Still not managed to find the company I was thinking of... strange, I am sure they weren't a dream!
Thanks for the input though, some quite interesting looking cars out there!
Sebring make an A-H 3000 replica...
Isn't there a company who do really nice looking mk1/2 escorts too? Fully space framed etc. As seen in one of the kit car magazines probably 18
months ago?

Now that is potentially the best thing I've ever seen done with an old MX5 - add a V6 engine conversion............
