I have a small problem, my son has parked an old Mondeo 1,8 diesel in my drive behind the garage that my Locost has been stored in over the winter. Now
that I want to move it to get my car out of the garage the only key has gone missing.
It is not really worth a great deal and needs some work so I have 2 options either drill the door lock and steering lock and then get it towed by the
scrap man or try and defeat the immobiliser and get it started and then replace the locks etc.
I dont want to spend a lot of time or money as it needs a windscreen , some body work tidying and the interior has gone mouldy over the winter but on
the other hand it has done less than a 100,000 and ran well so seems a shame to scrap it.
Does any one know how I can get into it and maybe start it with as little damage as possible? or should I call the scrapyard?
The worst bit about it is i am away until next Wednesday and then working until the following Friday so will only have the Saturday before stonleigh
to sort it and get my car on the road.
It is a 2000 model on a w plate and had a 2 button key with chip.

4x4 and drag it away?
+1 for dragging it out of the way. Perhaps lift it with a trolley jack or borrow some wheel skates?
I had to move a passat with a collapsed front suspension (wheel seized in wheel arch). Bit of rope and a 2012 RR Sport and it tugged it sideways
across tarmac without even flinching.
so +1 for 4x4 dragging.
cut the handbrake cable and roll it out the way? might be tricky with the steering lock on though......
Tell the local scrap pikey they can have if they shift it...............
Gone in 60 seconds LOL
Drill locks out and i will tow you to scrapyard, that way you will get some dosh for it.
I have drilled the door lock and got into it but now need to sort out the steering lock, maybe a bar through the steering wheel will break it but not
sure if they improved newer fords steering locks.
I'm off to Spain in the morning until Wednesday and then at work so now only have Saturday left to remove it, hopefully I can move it far enough
down the drive to get my car out of the garage and across the front garden.
