Best place to sell Goodwood revival tickets (3day, camping + grandstand)
MikeR - 20/8/13 at 10:49 AM

Folks,

Mrs got me a 40th birthday present of Goodwood revial tickets. Being generous she got me two tickets for the three days, camping with electricity, car parking and two grandstand tickets for the Saturday.

Unfortunately circumstances with two very small children mean we can't actually now make it. Where is the best place to sell the tickets? I believe eBay doesn't allow ticket sales anymore. I don't want to make a profit, just get the money back she spent so we can go in a year or twos time.

Cheers, Mike.

Fancied going for a while but never got around to it. Whats the cost? I've looked on the revival website and there's no prices (that I can find) now as it's sold out.

Ditto.. may be interested!

I've asked the misses for the price (she's stuck cuddling the biggest monster at the moment who's not well and fallen asleep). When she gets free i'll let you both know and give you the choice in order you've posted.

If neither of you are interested I'd still welcome suggestions on where the tickets can be sold.

Tickets are no longer sold through eBay.

They welcome you to a brand new market place called Stubhub Linky

which is owned by...... yep, you guessed it.... eBay.

Why ???

There's a thread on Pistonheads where Goodwood tickets seem to be exchanged.

Because they are making a HUGE mark up on the tickets sold there. I looked into it a few weeks ago when I had to sell some tickets for the Rolling Stones gig in Hyde Park. I tried to list the tickets at about £160.00 (I seem to remember), but the site added about 35/40% to the price the punters would have paid.

I listed them on ebay, with a little thoughtful alteration to the descriptions, and sold them with a Buy It Now price that I was happy with.

Good luck with the sale, and I hope you get to go one day.

Regards
Jon

Mrs has sent through the prices and I'll be having a chat with her tonight about how much she spent !!!!

Camping including electricity - 210
2 multiday tickets (ie friday, saturday, sunday) 250
2 saturday tickets for woodcote grandstand 148

Total 608.

She did pay a little more for a gift wrap but i'm guessing you wouldn't want that. this does include parking due to being in the onsite camping. You also get everything in a nicely aged wallet and the tickets look period (although have a 2d bar code in one corner). If anyone wants proof i'll take photos and email them.

If you are interested they can either be collected (I live 10 mins from j2 or j3 of the M6), I will drive a reasonable distance to deliver or I will post at my cost with recorded, tracked and insured delivery.

Anyone still interested before I look to advertise elsewhere?
