I tend to keep an eye on eBay for spare saab engines if one comes up cheap i tend to have a cheeky bid and if i win it goes in the spares shed
so i spotted this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Saab-900-93-B204-Engine-Redtop-Turbo-185bhp-/321254286700?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4acc3f656c

seller is advertising it as a good condition low mileage engine. being someone that always reads peoples feedback i spotted that previously he had
tried to sell the car, im guessing the sale fell through as he is now breaking it.
have a look at the advert for selling the car it clearley states its done 185k!

I thought that was low milage for a SAAB

Not absolutely definite that it is the same car though - the whole car was green but the engine pic seems to be in a blue car
I could be wrong though.
sent him a message got a reply and yes it is the 185k engine. i wonder what he considers a high mileage engine
may still buy it if i can get it for a good price, i have enough spares to rebuild it.
That's the problem with buying an engine on its own. You never know its history.
What bits would you need to collect to run a Saab engine like this in a Locost ?

It may be a struggle to fit in a locost as it's quite a tall engine but it will fit in a Haynes like mine without too much bother.
