Slightly embarrassing!

Insured my Pug when I bought it last year no problems. Then needed the insurance details this week to enter a local motor event.

Could I find any paperwork or emails? No I could not!

Could I actually recall who I insured it with? No I could not!

So after calling 3 insurance companies this afternoon I found it was Flux Direct.

Amazing how stupid you feel calling up and saying....."I think I might be insured with you!"

You are not alone, I have done this on more than one occasion

Not car or insurance related, but embarrassing all the same: We have a big engine stripped down for it's 80,000hrs service (it's a 1.36MW gas engine in a power station) and the torsional vibration damper has to be sent away to Germany to be overhauled. I noticed it all boxed-up in it's crate and was wondering why it hadn't been sent off. A couple of days later, we received an email from the company in Germany with a photo attached. When the courier came to collect the damper, one of our guys helped him load it up. Only it wasn't the damper. It was the flywheel off the engine....... It was a £500 round trip for it though....

and if that's not bad enough, what about Team Ferrari at Le Mans a few years ago. Car came in and they decided to change the engine. Only when they fired it up did they realize that they had put the same engine back......
