Strut brace, is this ok?

Evening all

I bought this for my 350z

After opening it and inspecting it as you do when you recieve shiney things, I started twisting the joint between the carbon and the Ali (I assume it's Ali) and there is some slight movement, not a lot but it is there. I'm guessing the carbon is a hollow box section with a bit of the Ali going into the box section to connect the two.

My question is, should I fit this brace? Will it be a bad move to remove the oem brace or should this be ok?

Why don't you bond it in? Araldite or similar maybe?
If you're looking for an improvement in handling (not just bling) then drive it down a twisty road, swap to the new one and drive the same road. See how it feels. If it's better or there's no difference then go for the carbon blingy one

Why are you removing the oem one Nissan seem to be making good chassis of late.

That is also looking second hand and with the oval worn hole it suggests it may not be the most highly designed piece of kit. The Ali could be low grade.
