Received a second text today from DVLA, one a couple weeks ago, with regards to them owing me a refund. The only vehicle I have taken off the road was my MK for the winter for which I was sent a refund. They maintain they owe me £48.84 and when you go to the link they ask for bank details, password words, e mail address, mother's maiden name etc. Has anyone else received what appears to be a scam text?
It's a scam e mail don't reply or give them any details
scam.
When I SORNed a bike recently the website just said that if I am owed any money it will be sent to me.
I heard nothing until a cheque came through the door. No contact since.
as above... scam.
DVLA will always refund with a cheque.

Rollover the link and write down the link and psot it here. Almost 99% a scam but the link showing will confirm....
quote:I thought they would refund to the account that had paid in the first place, unless a cheque was requested

A scam!
Don't reply to it and certainly don't give out any details whatsoever.
If you're still concerned then phone the DVLA (using a number from their website) and speak to them about it.
There is a warning about this on the DVLA landing page: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/driver-and-vehicle-licensing-agency
