Quick question about cambelt replacement interval.

Haynes manual states 60000 mile replacement interval for 1.8 silvertop. No suggestion of years.....

What is the maximum interval do you suggest?

Mine is 5 years driving and 9000 miles (approx).

Cam belt (not camshaft) is I believe 10yrs or 60k.

With the cost of a replacement engine vs a cambelt kit I would not push it to the interval.

I'd have thought 5 years tops

For the cost of a kit, is it worth the risk?

I was thinking along those lines, but just wanted some second opinions.
