Welcome.

You have come to the right place! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful folk plus great archived threads.

Is your MK road registered and passed an IVA/SVA?

How old are the tyres?

Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike, Thanks
Yeah, it passed its IVA in 2019 then was put in a garage and forgotten about for 5years.
It has 13 miles on the clock. The tyres seem to be ok they are toyo proxies. Never been used.
Still have release agent on them from the mold as they were squeaking on the tarmac.

The car has a 2.0 zetec and an emerald ecu.
I have revamped the full cooling system and managed to get it to start and run reasonably well so far.

Thanks

Welcome Nick, yes this is the correct place to be if you've just got an MK to restore. Plenty advice and reference info on here. If you can sus out how to attach pics then it's a very helpful tool.

that is excellent, I just looked it up on the tax / mot ' https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk ' site, and notice it is currently untaxed,
I recommend getting 'sorn' on it asap, unless you intend to tax it tomorrow

to add, since it will need an mot before taxing it, I recommend you 'sorn' it today, does not cost anything, and only takes a couple of minutes.

Welcome in!

If they do moan about the few weeks it was untaxed, just say you posted in a form. It gets you a few weeks leeway because you don't have to chase it up for a few weeks if it was lost in the post.
