the concept of a locost is a small light well handling car.

If you put in another 2 seats that all gets compromised and you could end up with a really weird looking car.

My car is 3 ins higher 6 ins longer and 6 ins wider, (its not a real locost) and when I see a seven type I am always struck by how small it is.

I recon it would be a bad idea.....how many real sports cars are proper 4 seaters?

A locost is a low car and the occupants have to sit with their legs straight out. To accommodate another row of passengers the seating position would have to be raised until their legs were at the angle more common in saloon cars, or the wheelbase would have to be extended by maybe a metre or so, which would suely mean bottoming over bumps in the road etc.

I'm sure that the Locost principles could be used to produce a 4 seater, but I think the styling would have to be radically different, maybe a 30's type roadster? or something like Steve G's morgan. Look at something like the NG TC, retro style and no doors, just a thought.

Yes keith,a 2 plus 2 is the proper name.
There is a chance that one will be built, but its very much in dream land at the moment.
