words fail me

liam.mccaffrey - 27/12/09 at 01:08 AM

I agree, but if you're gonna do it, do it properly.
There's way too much body roll

mookaloid - 27/12/09 at 01:51 AM

Doesn't it make you wanna go and do it but better

iank - 27/12/09 at 01:59 AM

If it goes at the speeds implied by the rear tyres then you "really" don't want a fold down windscreen.

skodaman - 27/12/09 at 03:29 AM

Cool. Could use a full roll-cage though.

richardlee237 - 27/12/09 at 04:46 AM

.....and they reckon a 7 has poor aerodynamics !!!

expatkiwi - 27/12/09 at 07:50 AM

I LIKE it

Humbug - 27/12/09 at 08:27 AM

JUST like a seven - ali body, square front, um... that's it

gregs - 27/12/09 at 08:35 AM

I have to say WHY!!??!

I bet it's really fast with a big rover V8.... oh no, on second thoughts that's a standard LR engine... v

I hate to say it, but I reckon it's just lowered and made RWD, IMHO a LR ladder chassis is goin to need some serious BHP and chassis work to be 'quick'.

Just googled it and yes it has a 3.9 V8 and disco axle....

However also found one done 'properly'....

Series 2a dragster
Series 2a dragster

393ci....544 bhp....

No , that's the engine smoking not the tyres!

MakeEverything - 27/12/09 at 09:27 AM

I reckon a mid mounted small block to a Jag rear axle, sorted suspension and a roll cage, and it would be a good laugh.

I like it, but the guy in the top picture is probably very close to killing himself if it hops and the corner digs into the tarmac!

The proper drag one looks better, but im not sure id have picked a series LR, but a range rover or defender front end would work better.

hmmmmm..........

speedyxjs - 27/12/09 at 09:35 AM

I love it!

Not too sure about the drag car though

GMPMotorsport - 27/12/09 at 10:13 AM

it's certainly different! think I would like a bit more protection though, any details on what engine it's got in it, big wheels on the rear.

mark chandler - 27/12/09 at 10:55 AM

Having owned a few Series I landrovers with mixtures of engines I can assure you the only way to go fast is fold that screen down, v8's then fly along....

Take it off yes, fold it down so it can fly up into your face no.

I saw that parked up in the Silverstone paddock at Ford Fair, thought it looked great. Apparently it belongs to one of the writers from one of the Ford magazines.

No idea what's under the bonnet, but it certainly looked cool (IMHO of course) in the metal.
