Adrian Flux have asked me to provide a written valuaton for my car from an independant and reputable source.
Where do i get one of those, im In Shropshire btw.
I've never come across that aproach, usually you give a valuation and send them photos from all angles and interior as evidence.
Thats how it works with classic insurance anyway, and with Graham Sykes when i called them.
Don't suppose this helps you though...

They asked for photos from 3 angles including one with the reg and the written valuation, im sure i read on here a while ago that someone got asked the same thing but cant find it to ask how they got it valued.
I got the same thing, called MK who say they have had a number of requests on the same. Might be poss to get a letter from Locost Club?? I'm sure you have a good idea of it's value to replace. Can't see anyone in the mainstream kit scene having a clue about self build values.
It sounds like a bit of a technicality to me.
I'd get a local garage to give a written valuation on headed paper that should keep 'em happy...

it was me dude... I havent got it valued yet either. You can send off the valuation at a later date, it just means thats in the meantime if you damage
the car, the insurance will take a default price (whatever that is).
Is your car on the road now then? maybe we could meet up and travel here to get them valued:

there in Bromsgrove
Yep car is on the road taxing it tomorrow, 1st blast will be Stoneleigh on the monday after a bit of a shakedown on sat-sun to make sure everything i
took off it over the last 6 months i have tightened up again!
Paul matty is a good idea but i may go for a local garage and bung the chap a few beers and get a "good" price.
Try Mach #1 for a valuation, they offered for me.
I spoke to Adrian Flux this morning, about the very same subject and i needed an extension to the 30 days unregistered insurance as my Re SVA is 3
days after the temp cover runs out, but that is another story.
The lady i spoke to said dont worry about the valuation and photos, that is really only for classic cars that are worth real money, didnt know how to
take that really, so i just shrugged it off. So apparently you dont need to send those bit back.
