Can it be done simply?
My BMW hubs have threaded holes to take wheel bolts, and personally i think its a stupid design, trying to hold the wheel againt the hub in the right
orientation and putting a bolt in at the same time can be a bit of pain!
So looking to see if you can get conversion kits to use wheel nuts and have studs on the hubs instead?

The easy way to get round it is to put a peice of threaded rod into one of the holes (but NOT tight), put the wheel and a couple of wheel bolts on to
keep the wheel there and undo the threaded rod either by hand or if there is too much wheel weight on it, a couple of nuts on and unscrew the nearest
on to the wheel trick
yep, stud conversions. One of the best things I bought for my car.
If I was to buy again I would spend more on good quality nut as the plating on my cheap set (£25) is not good.

but I collected and paid cash, and I think he has increased price since I bought them a couple of years back.
Demon Tweeks and others sell them too.
I also got a nice Mcgard locking wheel nut set. And the finish on them is still 100% perfect, so it shows that a good quality item will last in these
salty road conditions.
Studs are fine though. just screw them in and as they are 'hidden' they are not affected by the road grime

Mercedes amongst others use wheel bolts but they put a threaded guide in the tool kit which makes the job a whole lot easier
Ok cheers guys, my bolts are rusted and a bit horrible, so will need new bolts anyway, so debating whether to swap, will see a bit closer the time
just interested if such kits were available.
