I'm building a Locost from one of the manufacturers and I wouldn't touch RHs cars with a bargepole, BUT......
I like the lighting kit price...£100 and the petrol tank price.....
Does anyone have any bad stories about these particular components??
Cheers,
lighting sounds cheap, how bad can it be if they dont make it themselves?! dunno about the fuel tank, i used a £22 brand new speedboat tank! might not pass though...
It's headlights, indicators including repeaters, rear lights, numberplate light, fog and reversing lights... it does sound cheap, and like you said if they don't make it.........
I bought the RH lighting kit for my car.
Eventually I only used the rear lights and the headlamps out of the kit, sourcing the side repeaters, rear fog lamp and front indicators from
elswhere.
And the headlamps do not (or at least didnt) have a provision for a sidelamp. I will also be replacing them shortly too, as they are rusting quite
badly now. Admittedly, I drive the car in all weathers, but a poor show all the same.
Knowing what I know now, I would of saved money by buying the stuff I actually wanted, rather than being swallowed up by the 'bargain' price
of the RH kit.
I didnt fit the reverse lamp (which didnt match the fog lamp anyway), the fog lamp (instead, I got one off a Land Rover Defender, same as the type
Westfield/Caterham use), and the side repeaters because I thought they were 'tacky' (got some from the scrappy off a Corsa of summat
instead).
Just my twopenneth...
Stu.
Try this lot, very cheap, excellent delivery
