Strange - looking car spotted today outside Lidl on Bloomfield Road.

My guess is it is an early kit based on a 2CV. It has a Citroen bonnet mascot, and horizontally opposed cylinders which appear to be air cooled.

It also has the words 'LeSabre' on the side (in centre of the picture).

No idea if it's correct but a bit of googling and a search on the number plate indicates it's a "Lomax 224," which is 2CV based.

Appears to be registered as a 600cc engine, certainly looks a lot more striking than some of the examples on google image search!
