Just wondering...If i followed 'the book' (second edition) to the letter, will i come up against any problems, flaws, misprints etc or anything like that i could do without?

Thanks in advance....Russ

oh yes there are a number of problems(allegedly)

start by using the mcsorley plans
they are meant to be better

and i think the front suspension pickups give an incorrect castor angle with cortina uprights

Get a copy of McSorleys? plans and use them with the book.

That's what I did and there have still been a few things I "could have done without".

Hi Russ,
We built 2 chassis as close as you can get to the book, all I can say is ignore those that say the book is full of errors, build to the book dimensions. I'm not saying there aren't any errors, but they are so obvious when you get there. Ok you may cut 2 pieces of steel wrongly, but don't worry about it, it's all part of the learning process. I found the book to be an excellent guide and have 2 cars on the road to prove it!!
