C2513 connector wiring
pekwah1 - 19/2/17 at 05:14 PM

Hi guys,

I'm wiring up a blacktop zetec with standard ecu, but can't seem to find the pin outs for the 42 pin connector c2513.
Anyone able to assist?

Thanks
Andy

Using the standard engine loom puts the ecu out near the front wheel in a 7. Of coarse that assumes your putting it in a 7.

If it's a Mondeo 104 pin ecu use my pin outs and a multi meter to work it out.It wouldn't take long. If it's a focus 60 pin ecu do the same with shorties pin outs

Yep I'm putting it in a 7....
I've got your guide already wasa, just thought if someone had the pins already would save me messing around

Didn't think connector numbers went as high as 2513 these days.

Can't find a reference to it in any of my wiring diagrams.

If it's the Powertrain Control Module connector you're after, then it's C414, and it's 41 pin.

If that's the right one, I can do a pinout, but it'll take a little time.

So first can I ask why you need it?

It's the connector that links the ecu to the rest of the car harness in the mondeo and is 42 pin, definitely a c2513 connector.
I'm planning on hooking into these wires to connect to my 7 harness....

Not a Ford publication, but try this...

and many thanks to Martin!

Ahh, you beat me to it David.

I have this wired up to a standard ECU and working fine thanks to David and big-wasa.

Any problems give me a shout.

Thanks guys,
Yep i'd wired up a blacktop on standard ecu previous thanks to big_wasa's guide, should have made more notes!

The only thing that's throwing me at the moment is that pin 34 claims to be a reverse switch on the c2513, but on the connector i have it is a very thick red wire which would indicated +12v....

I like that - even if it does make my eyes go funny!

The only thing I can think that had a large red cable would be off to the alternator plug which isn't needed

Is the red wire on the car end of the plug or the engine side? If its the car side it could be PIN 10 which is the +12V supply to pin 55 on the ECU

Made from a combination of my loom and your's and wasa's research - hopefully of use to others

For some reason, I didn't pick up that tims31 and martinsfurybuild were one and the same person. (Don't ask!)

Anyway, I'm sure your links will be of great use to others - well done!

Please ignore what I wrote earlier about connector C414 - utter load of rubbish!

A thick red wire to pin 34 on C2513 beats me - sorry pekwah.
