Ford OBD2 port

Hi Guys,

I have a blacktop zetec in my car, but i forgot to take the OBD2 port out of the donor.
A quick trip to the breakers and i've stolen another one out of a different car, however have now noticed that this seems different to the guide i've been using by big_wasa:

BIG_WASA:

My OBD2 port:

Now my first thought was just to move the pins i've got in my port and do it the same as the big_wasa guide, but wasn't expecting the ports to be different between cars??

Anyone able to tell me what i should do here?

Thanks,
Andy

obd connections do vary between manufactures "Manufacturer discretion: "
this wiki page has some details, and pinouts

These are both from Ford though.

One from a 2000 Mondeo, the other one i can't remember, either a fiesta or a focus or something like that....

the one you have, has the can bus connections (6&14)

That picture of mine is just a generic pic of an obd2.

Just compare PIN numbers.

with can bus.

With out can bus.

Yours is still differant. Just move the pins to match the pin out guide.

thanks wasa, so just because i'm stupid, i'm guessing a 2000 2.0 blacktop from a mondeo wouldn't have canbus...?
