Car Transporter trailer wanted to borrow!
flyingkiwi - 19/1/05 at 07:44 PM

Well, the Navy has finally tossed the spanner into the works and are posting me to RAF Wittering, thus I have to leave the land of cider. The problem I have is how to get my half build locost from Yeovil to Peterborough.

I was wondering if there was any lovely locoster out there who might have a car transport trailer available near Peterborough in april for me to borrow for the weekend so I can continue my soul destroying hobby. Quite happy to pass on some beer token's or token's of other types to anyone who can help!

Cheers
Chris

All answers on a postcard please!!!!

Sorry, I haven't got one to lend, but I hired one for a weekend and it only cost £35 which I thought was fairly cheap.

I'm thinking that will be the solution, or get off my butt and finish the car so I can drive it up there.

Where did you hire yours from??
Cheers
Chris

Sorry about the posting, I hate Wittering and I'm in the RAF

I you've had no luck by April drop us a line and i'll see if I can borrow my brother-in-laws setup.

On the good side the motor club at Witterings not to bad and it's only 25 mile from the RAF motorsports test track.

You can hire one if you get stuck from Cambridge trailers in Longstanton, just off A14 near Bar Hill not that far from Wittering. hope this is of some use to you, Rusty

Cheers Dan, I'll remember that, and I'll have to join the club I think. The motor club at Yeovil became more of a garage lately rather than a club, with a full time mechanic. I paid £20 pound a year to join and wasn't allowed to use the tool's without him supervising. Big bunch of arse.

On the plus side though, I'm looking forward to getting my new light blue suit!
