New MK Engineering car
Rob Lane - 3/2/05 at 10:53 PM

Called in at MK Engineering today (not to be confused with MK Cars, a seperate company) and saw the laying down of the prototype chassis for the futuristic design 7 type car.

Looks very good, all I can say is tubular chassis 'a la birdcage', no square tube.

Also saw the so called 'failed' wishbone that was the subject of much fuss recently in a posting. All I will say for that, is the Locostbuilders thread was completely wasted.

No, a secret as to it's exact design right now until it's released but Martin said it was OK to reveal a little taster.

Rob, i agree 100% with your 2nd point in your opening post, i was lets say "gob smaked" when i saw it a while ago but thought "can of worms", "gob shut", i did suggest it was taken to shows and hung up on stands for all to see, cos i think all should see.
What did you make of the shock bracket ? Think ive gone too far allready.

A couple of months ago I saw on their site that they are developing some thing of the sort, so nothing divulged here that is not in public domain.

I should let it die about the wishbone, the man was a ****er!
I cant put the real words there for fear of solicitors letters flying.
And feeling angry at the same time.

I think if my SAAB hits a kerb at speed I might sue the manufacturer for my lack of concentration,I dont think so!
