After breaking down on my first trip out yesterday (at the end of the street thankfully) I decided to buy some breakdown cover. I phoned a few paces today but they all said no. Who covers kit cars?
I believe the AA cover you for any vehicle you are in driver or passenger..
The AA was one of the places that said "no". Perhaps they will if you normal car is covered by them.
I've just run through the online cover and its only asking for a location not a vehicle
Try your insurer - I got my insurance through Adrian Flux and breakdown cover (including recovery and European) was an extra £40-ish
Try Moneysupermarket
I'm covered for any car I drive, full cover, for £25 a year. I pay the recovery company and I then claim back from the insurers.
Brittania cover me for whatever I'm driving...
...I believe that Green Flag will as well.

I have RAC cover that covers me whatever I'm driving or a passenger in
Thinking about it, my breakdown insurance was set up for my tin-top, but covers my Locost as well (and has done, on SVA day!). I don't know how
they'd respond if I tried to set it up for the Locost only.
Adrian Flux tried to sell me breakdown cover as well - their price was competitive, but I don't know if that was solely in conjunction with my
vehicle insurance.

Were with the RAC and have been recovered once.
When we told them we would need recovering and what kind of car it was, they even sent the lowest loading truck they had with planks etc to get low
cars on.
The bloke was quite relieved when when he realised it wasn't that low with sideskirts etc, all they'd passed on to him was that it was some
sports car they'd never head of so be prepared lol.
(Indykid happened to be passing lol, not the best way to see your first Indy lol)

Just had a quote from Footman James for the Luego, 12 months fully comp. 1500 miles/year but this can be changed at any time, myself and 1 named
driver including UK/European breakdown recovery and legal protection £171.15.
It covers for a booked MOT inspection and SVA including cover for the return trip if it fails.
We got RAC cover over the Internet. Never asked the type or anything just the Reg. As it's first reg in 2004 the cover was very cheap. We got recovered back from France and they were great. Also told me to get in touch with the manufacturer as it should still be under warranty! I told them the manufacturer was already informed.
