Some time ago I bought a Halfords car cap (designed to go over the roof and window area of a tin top).
It sort of fitted, but was much too big, especially as I've only got a wind deflector screen, and left lots of loose flappy dangly bits.
I took the scissors to it today and used my sewing machine skills (!?) to make it smaller and more fitted.
I know there are a few gaps round the edge, and it is not very even, but I think it will still be better than getting the car full of water. In any
case, I'm not planning to have to use it too much,I hope

Looks good. Was it that tight across the rear panel (in the first picture) before you took the scissors to it?

No... I took in a pleat on each side down the sides of the rollbar, but there's still some adjustment possible as it has elastics on the corners with plastic coated hooks. For the back ones I tied up a loop in the elastics and it might be a bit tight at the moment
You'll never see where you're going in the rain with that on!
Is it waterproff or showerproof or what? very interested, how much was it?
