James gets to drive the 'Dream'

Hi There
Saturday at MK and it's busy as per usual. Chrisg turns up at the crack of dawn, Mr saxo appears to pick up his kit and late on in the morning James arrives with a friend. He's here to get some bits for his build. We've seen a few of the listers lately but James is probably the luckiest as he got to take the 'Tangerine Dream' out for a little run. He was like a kid with a new toy the poor love. Hope you enjoyed it James.

It's all anyone around me has heard about since Sat pm.

Only went up there (MK) for a chat and some parts. Later, they were just closing up and Chris chucks me some keys and tells me to take it for a spin if I want! Thought he was joking or just saying I could sit in it!

Reversed out at snail speed as absolutely terrified of damaging it (hey, you gotta be careful with 1000 hours of someone's life!) and then went up the road. What I hadn't realised is how fast being low to the ground makes it feel. It feels literally about double the speed you're actually going. It wasn't until I spotted a few cars in a line behind me that I realised I was only doing about 20mph!

Anyway, we get back after about 5 minutes of very careful driving and Chris is like "Oh, I thought you'd be gone half an hour". Well Chris, if you insist....

So off we go along the country roads with the biggest on our faces you've ever seen!

Anyway, got back after what seemed like far too soon and went home clutching my purchases (as it were!) a very happy man.

Thank you once again Chris, I'll never again here a bad word said about you!

P.S. And best of all, he didn't spot where I'd stuffed it into a ditch!

Actually yours looks really great.

It's useful too coz a lot of people bring kids when they visit MK and your chassis acts as a very effective climbing frame to keep them entertained.
It's amazing what kids can come up with to do with a BEC wiring loom and ECU aswell actually...
