New Locostbuilders Search Function (IE)
stevebubs - 5/1/08 at 12:12 PM

Fed up of the search engine not returning what you want?

the file below will install a locostbuilders search engine into Internet Explorer

(note for the tech savvy: is just a customised google search)

Okee dokee...

In FireFox it installs once you have clicked on the download.....

So...Looking at the line where the 'http//www.Locostbuilders etc is......

Have you got another box where you can type in stuff for a search?...... on the left of the text box is a button which if you click on it..it will show which search engines you have installed...typicaly it will be a dictionary, google, yahoo etc......thats where the new Locost search engine will appear.....

Not got that 'box'?

Go to bookmarks, click on it scroll down to Firefox/mozilla and click on get 'add ons/extensions'.........choose google for firefox or dictionary or whatever.......from the long list...... download as instructed.

It will prompt you to restart firefox......

you should then see that search engine box (it will have a magnifying glass on the right)....

Download the link that was given above.....

Then click on the left button of that little box and locostbuilders should be there......

If I have got any of the above destructions arfe about face I am sure someone will be along to correct very shortly....

I clicked download and get this

Clock to install locostbuilders search

I click above and i get

Error on page

Fozzie - 5/1/08 at 06:36 PM

site too busy perhaps?...or your settings? Firefox or IE Bob ???????

Fozzie

Edit to say....just tried it with IE and it does show 'error on page' at the bottom....

However

If you click on the box to the right also with a magnifying glass, you will find locostbuilders there........make sure its ticked......and type your question in the little box, then click on the 'glass......
a google page will come up with lots of locostbuilders links
