ive had a few go's at trying to set up an avitar but i never have any luck doing it, can anyone walk me through the process?
Under the control panel, click Edit proile. Scroll down where it says Avatar URL paste in the URL of your avatar!
You need to upload an image somewhere and then view that image in your browser. Right click on the image and then properties and you'll see the
URL you need to paste in.
You could upload a small image to this site, or you could host your own.
in the control panel cut and paste this in and see how you get on
http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/2corrado.jpg
Ah I see where you're having problems. Your image has lots of white space around it. You need to edit the image and lose the white space.
everything i try i always get the white bit, I HATE COMPUTERS!!! GRRRR!!!
Why cant they be as easy as an engine
What pic do you want ? I will chop it down a bit for you
this is the pic i want

Scirroco

but i still cant get it on my bit
You've very nearly done it!
Just remove the last [/img] from the avatar URL box. What you have address wise is fine - just need to remove the last bit [/img]
how did u do that?
yep nothing wrong with that.
go into control panel, edit profile and just stick
http://locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/Scirroco.jpg
in the box and press update
YEH

Thank you for that. Let's see if mine works as well.
Nope. It doesn't.
Who needs an avatar.

Ok, I followed the procedure, resized the avatar to be 153x153 pixels, upload it to on my photo archive, copy the url under the picture, removed the
last [/img], edited my profile and when it takes you back to the other page with your profile, my avatar box is blank.
What am i doing wrong?
