i have more 25 mm tube left than 19 and I am going to stat making the transmission tunnel is there any reason I could nt make it from 25mm will it cause any problems or be of benifit?? your thoughts???

no problem at all. infact I think there was some analysis that showed the tunnel contributed almost nothing to the stiffness of the chassis unless it was sheeted, bonded and riveted

Remember the transmission tunnel isn't very wide as standard. You will lose either half an inch in width in the tunnel or 6mm from each side of where your seats go if you use thicker tube. There's not much spare room there using 19mm as it is. If you're planning on using narrow seats you will get away with it though.

Unless you have a centre bearing is losing 1/2in from the tunnel much of an issue? Prop's aren't that thick - the flanges are the fattest...
